Dr. Debra Windley is an experienced educator and first-time author with over 30 years in K–12 education. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and has served as a teacher, principal, and Student Services Coordinator. Her book, Overcoming Adversity: Achieving Success Despite Challenges, shares her journey of breaking barriers and advocating for equity in education. As founder of ESTEEM Consulting, Inc., Dr. Windley empowers educators and students, championing culturally responsive practices and inclusive learning environments driven by faith and perseverance.
Dr. Debra Windley is a dedicated educator, passionate advocate, and first-time author with over 30 years of experience in K–12 education. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master’s in School Administration, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics.
Throughout her career, she has taken on various roles, including teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Student Services Coordinator. Additionally, she has held leadership positions such as Math Department Chair and Beginning Teacher Mentor.
Dr. Windley focuses on promoting student success, advancing equity, and implementing culturally responsive practices. Her book, Overcoming Adversity: Achieving Success Despite Challenges, combines her inspiring journey with practical strategies for transformative education.
